Since its inception in 1954, the ACFP has committed to serve its members by providing an opportunity for knowledge sharing in practical settings and professional camaraderie.

Today, the ACFP membership includes more than 4,600 members across Alberta. With a long history of dedicated, engaged, and active members, ACFP members have helped shape family medicine practice in Alberta, and are committed to doing so in the years to come.

The ACFP is proud to provide the various services and benefits to its members and continues to advocate for family medicine and family physicians to help make Alberta the best place to practice comprehensive medicine in Canada.

About the CFPC

With more than 35,000 members across the country, the CFPC’s increased member participation in programs of both the National College and Provincial Chapters has allowed the College to be a more effective as the voice of family medicine in Canada – recognized and regularly included at the tables of governments and the other major medical and health care stakeholders.
