You can earn up to 70 credits on the two certified content libraries. There is also one non-certified library available on the GoMainpro online learning platform.

  • Tools for Practice Online program
    This Self-Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 56 Mainpro+ credits.
  • ACFP’s Video Library program
    This Self-Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 14 Mainpro+ credits.

Non-Certified Credits

  • Videos from the ACFP’s 2016 Practical Evidence for Informed Practice conference (you require a paid subscription to access the non-certified video titles)

Created, developed, and maintained by the ACFP, GoMainpro is an online learning platform, where you can earn certified credits for ACFP’s Tools for Practice library and ACFP’s Video Library from its past events—61st Annual Scientific Assembly and Practical Evidence for Informed Practice conferences.

Simply read a Tools for Practice article or watch a video and reflect on your learning experience and earn credits—it is that easy!

You will be required to purchase a subscription to GoMainpro in order to access the learning and earn credits online. Subscriptions are renewed annually and there is no limit to the amount of credits you can earn within your annual subscription period. The maximum amount of credits available through GoMainpro depended on the credit amounts of the certified libraries on the GoMainpro platform.

The ACFP is pleased to offer the follow certified and non-certified learning opportunities for its members and family physicians and general practitioners on the GoMainpro online learning platform.

There are two formats to GoMainpro’s content libraries—the Tools for Practice articles (pdf files) and the ACFP Video library (.mp4 files)

Certified Credits

  • Tools for Practice Online program – Tools for Practice, a library of articles summarizing medical evidence with a focus on topical issues and practice-modifying information. Tools for Practice is published and delivered bi-weekly to ACFP members and non-members subscribers free of charge. All articles are also provided in French.   • ACFP’s Video Library program – The ACFP Video Library includes session and keynote recordings from the 61st Annual Scientific Assembly and the 2017 Practical Evidence for Informed Practice conferences. Non-Certified Credits

The ACFP is happy to provide GoMainpro subscribers video recording from the 2016 Practical Evidence for Informed Practice conference. Only GoMainpro subscribers can access the ACFP Video libraries. For more information download the conference program guide.

Subscriptions are valid for one year.

You may access GoMainpro content libraries as long as you have a valid GoMainpro subscription.

The Reflective Exercise is a simple online form that provides you as a learner to reflect on the content. Time to fill out the short reflective exercise depends on the learner.

There is no need to report your credits. Credits earned on ACFP’s GoMainpro online learning platform will be submitted to the CFPC’s Direct Credit Entry Program on May 31 annually. You will receive confirmation directly from the CFPC by email.

No the ACFP is not permitted to report on non-certified credits on your behalf. Instead, you may print of the non-certified content titles you accessed on GoMainpro from the My Reflective Exercises page and report them yourself at https://www.cfpc.ca/login/ through your Mainpro+ profile. To record your Self-Learning non-certified activities.

3) Click the Mainpro+ logo
4) Click on ENTER A CPD ACTIVITY (green button below your name)
5) Click Select on “Self Learning” category
6) Click on Non-Certified
7) Select “Online (eLearning, podcasts, etc)
8) Click on Online Self Study
9) Click “Continue”
10) Fill out the form and click on submit
