To facilitate and promote accredited
continuing medical education (CME) for
family physicians, the Alberta College
of Family Physicians hosts an annual
scientific assembly (ASA). Each year,
family physicians gather to attend
continuing medical education workshops
and sessions, and network with
colleagues to discuss best practices.
In addition to participating in the
educational sessions, conference
registrants visit exhibit booths to
collect information about programs, and
services related to family medicine.
During this three-day conference,
registrants also enjoy networking and
relaxing during several special events
such as the Welcome Wine & Cheese
Reception, AFPRN
Poster Presentation, and the Saturday
Night family fun event.
The ASA is held at the Rimrock Resort
Hotel in Banff, Alberta, in late
February.
